What happens when you eat too much Halloween Candy

Just kidding! It was loose at our September dentist appointment. We're pretty excited - and the other half is quite pouty!! She informed me that "twins are supposed to come in twos!" We're still working on helping them both to understand that they are still individuals!

Happy Halloween!

The twins decided to dress up as a "Moorhead Police Officer" and "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast. Emma was Sleeping Beauty for her preschool class, but thought she should get more use out of her costumes the remainder of the day! We had fun at our annual trip to the nursing home and then headed to church for a fall festival party. It was a fun day and as you can see from the pictures, quite productive!! This should last us until Easter!

Family Birthday Party

The twins had a big surprise just in time for their family birthday party! Mommy came home Saturday night with Auntie Sonja and Nate! Emma ran right to Sonja for a big hug and Riley headed for Nate! It was cute to watch! They were thrilled to have them join us for the big celebrations - that's right - plural form. We had the family party, a preschol party, and the grand finale of gymnastics. Sonja and Nate got to be here for it all! Here are a few pics:

We had a fish and mermaid party with a fish cake, fishing pole pretzels and goldfish crackers. It was a blast.

Fall is here

which means birthday time!

Preparation for the Big Day!

Emma wanted to get her ears pierced for her birthday, so we went the day before her friends' party. We weren't sure she'd follow through, but she was a trooper!

She wiped away the tears to pose for the camera! 10 minutes later she told me it was really fun!

1st Friends Party

We had a princess and spiderman party at the bowling alley. Emma brought her princess dresses for all her friends to wear while they bowled!

Grandpa & Grandma were recruited to help with the party. It was a little shaky at first, but after a developmental tutorial (mostly for Grandpa) we were good to go and everyone bowled in a structuredand orderly fashion! After the party, Emma brought Grandma to Ballet practice and Riley and Grandpa had a little "boy time" at Scheels and Barnes and Noble (for those who know Grandpa, don't worry - Riley informed him upon entering the book store that they were there for Riley and NOT for Grandpa!) By the end of the day, all the adults were ready for bed!

Time for Change

I've been pushed and nagged about my neglect for this blog! I tried to warn my avid readers that this day would likely come. But, it's time to turn over a new leaf and make another attempt at consistency! In a positive spirit I've given the blog a face lift to help me reach my goal! Ryan has also graciously offered to pitch in - so maybe you'll be able to be better kept up to date! Thanks for your patience and forgiveness!
